Benjamin Lerner (Boopa) started his hot dog stand in 1971. It was only a pushcart in those days. Boopa's chili dogs, complete with a large warm bun, oversized hot dog mustard, onions and thick chili sold for less than a dollar each. His hot dog wagon was located near to the park under open spaces. That was at the Riegelmann Boardwalk/beachfront/ 38 years ago!

Times have changed, but not Boopa's.

Boopa's still gives that very same quality now as then... mouth-watering cheddar sauce, generously topping an highquality hot dog in aromatic bun with mustard and onions.
Convenient locations, tasty food and friendly service have been the three reasons Boopa's has not only survived, but become famous.
